Illusions by Aprilynne Pike
This book comes out in a few days, but Aprilynne is an awesome friend of mine and sent it to me early! Really, this is my favorite book in the series so far. I won’t go into to detail and spoil anything since you all should read it, but I will tell you it’s amazing. The story is fast pasted from the first word and there are a lot of intense scenes. I couldn’t put it down. So, mark this book down on your to read list!

NEW BOOKS
I've got some really good reads for you all! My husband made a mistake and took me to a book store.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.
Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, Fallen is a page turning thriller and the ultimate love story.
Book description: HUSH, HUSH
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
Book description: BEAUTIFUL CREATURES
There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.
At least, that's what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything
There were so many more I wanted and am going back to get next week! Yes, I'm going to go broke on books.

PLUM, PLUM, PLUM STRUCK!
A client introduced me to my new obsession on Saturday. Stephanie Plum. As you can see there are 13 books, plus one for ever holiday that aren’t shown here. I’m half way done with the series. I spend half the time laughing out loud at some of the situations Stephanie gets herself into. So, if you don’t hear from me for a while, this is why. Sorry, but if you read them you’ll understand and be able to forgive me.
Happy reading!

Blog Book Review! Boys and a maze...
The Maze Runner
by James Dashner

A little bit about this great book:
Thomas wakes up and finds himself in a world he doesn't recognize, and he can't remember anything about his past. The heart of this story is the mystery of the maze. Boys live in this maze made up of stone walls that protect them from horrible creatures and the boys are faced with the endless challenge of solving a maze that changes every day and seems to have no exit. Just as I thought I knew what was going to happen next, I was wrong. I loved that it kept me guessing right up to the last page. I will definitely be waiting anxiously for the sequel.
Now it's books like this that makes me want mine published, because of the thought that's gone into the plots and characters. GO read this book!

Blog Book Review!
The Hollow
By Jessica Verday
Abbey's best friend, Kristen, disappears from the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery bridge and while everyone thinks is was suicide. Abbey refuses to believe such a thing, but when she finds out about a secret life Kristen was keeping from her, she doesn't know what to think. At the funeral, Abbey meets a hot guy named Caspian and come to find out. He has a few secrets of his own. When Abby starts to find out the truth about her friends she also uncovers the truth behind the legend of Sleepy Hollow and doesn't know how much more her sanity can take.
I loved this book. It's also the first book of a three part series, each one coming out every September. If you want a good follow up to Twilight This book, The Hollow of the previous one Wings are both excellent picks!

A NEW TWIST TO THE BLOG!

A new twist to my blog! I'm going to start giving a review for the books I read. You have probably seen on my side panels pictures of some books I currently love, but never really said much about them. So, that's about to change. I love books! They take me away to new worlds or they can open my eyes to the world around me. Where ever they take you is special because it's just you and the characters in the story, and most importantly, you are reading. In my house books are a must and we read as a family almost everyday.
With out further delay, book number one.
WINGS by Aprilynne Pike. This author is very dear to me because she is my friend (that I had dinner with last night). She is also an amazing writer. Her book WINGS is about a teenage girl named Laural, who finds out she is a faerie. Oh, but not like the fairy tales portray. Throw in some historical background and new mythos and you have this amazing rendition. This is a three part seres and the second book will be released in May 2010.

I can't wait to read this book! The author is a very sweet person too, she has helped me out in the writing department. Cami has a way of letting you enter the world of her book that makes you want the story to keep on going. Go check out this book, buy it at the store even so you can read it over and over. She will be at the Preston Citizen on August 5th 4-6 pm. I will be there for sure with my copy to be signed!
